Overview
The subclass 300 visa allows an engaged partner to enter Australia, marry their Australian sponsor within the visa period, and then apply onshore for a partner visa. A strong option for couples not yet able to evidence a de facto relationship.
Eligibility requirements
- Both partners 18 or older and free to marry
- Genuine intention to marry within the visa period
- Have met in person and know each other
- Sponsor is an Australian citizen, PR or eligible NZ citizen
- Offshore at application and decision

What happens after we marry on a 300 visa?
